LETTER FROM MOVEMENT BOTTEGA'S FOUNDER:

Movement Bottega was born from something deeply personal: my own devotion to understanding the body, and my belief that a movement practice can be so much more than exercise. That it can be a form of self-inquiry — a way to grow, embody our strength, and to become more aware of who we are. I have always believed the body is its own kind of art, worthy of the same reverence and curiosity we bring to anything we love.

The name itself carries this intention. Bottega means "artisan's workshop" in Italian — a place where things are made slowly, by hand, with care. When I opened the studio chapter of Movement Bottega six years ago, I fell in love with the space the moment I stepped inside. It held a natural atelier spirit, as though it had been waiting to become exactly what it was meant to be.

Thank you for these past six years — the friendships, the lessons, the quiet revelations, the transformations I had the privilege of witnessing. Each of you who crossed the threshold of this little gem made it what it was. You are the reason it mattered.

Now, Movement Bottega is beginning a new chapter. It will continue as an online atelier, alongside in-person gatherings where we can come together and stay connected in the seasons ahead.

The studio itself is becoming The Core Collective, founded by Ashley Pierce — a beloved instructor and manager who has been part of this community from the heart of it. The team you know and love remains entirely the same; only the name and the leadership have evolved. Ashley is one of the most passionate, warm-spirited people I have ever known, and I have no doubt she will carry this space forward with grace and do truly beautiful things with it.
